Risk Analysis
There is a common method for preparing a risk analysis, which is also recommended by the ILO (International Labor Organization).
Risk analysis is mandatory for every company with at least one person working under an employment contract and should be reviewed at least once a year.
The risk analysis of the work environment assesses the risk factors in the work environment that affect employees.
The most important thing about risk analysis is quality, which means that the risk analysis is prepared just for your company and is actually usable in the work environment. This is proven by many court decisions and investigations of work accidents/occupational diseases.
The risk analysis is an important document that reveals:
- Dangers in the work environment.
- Actions to reduce these risks.
- The need for safety markings and personal protective equipment.
- The need to prepare an action plan for the working environment.
- The need for a health check.
It is important that the risk analysis is constantly updated. For example, when new equipment is introduced, the layout of workplaces is changed, new workplaces are created or when moving to a new premises. After preparing or supplementing the risk analysis, it must also be presented to the employees.”
